Complex design, expert execution in Broadgate
10 Exchange Square, London
This 12-storey office, located within the Broadgate financial district, was redeveloped by British Land to modernise an underperforming building, whilst improving its connection with the newly landscaped Exchange Park Campus.
As part of the 84,000 Cat A refurbishment, Howard Brothers scope of works included the full refurbishment of the Ground Floor Reception, Core Areas, Lift Lobbies as well as Fire Rated Doosets throughout. Central to the design is a striking timber clad pavilion, set within the building’s ground floor glass envelope. This new structure forms a welcoming lobby area along with social seating, a coffee bar, and integrated cycle storage.
Material selection focused on sustainability, prioritising low embodied carbon and locally sourced finishes throughout.

Summary
This CAT A refurbishment went far beyond the conventional. It called upon our team’s full skillset, from design development to precise installation. The Ground Floor presented a real challenge, where curved and faceted slatted oak wall panelling reached over 5 metres in height.
Bringing this vision to life required absolute accuracy both in setting out and finish. It’s a result we’re proud of and was achieved through great collaboration and teamwork.
